Which Witch?

As I sat down....finally....I discovered some sort of liquid on the end table by my chair.  I'm hoping it was the water that was my first thought.  I sent my littlest one upstairs to retrieve a towel.  More often than not, in most cases, I may as well have done it myself.   Honestly, at one point, I figured it would be there for the duration of the evening unless I personally did something about it.

It was at that point that I heard the heckling.  And saw the towel....flying through the air as it was coming down the stairs.  I was sure the Wicked Witch of the West was coming to the rescue with the much needed towel.

Confirmation.

Rained Out

Welcome to Washington.....and baseball season. It never fails..there is always at least ONE game that has to be rescheduled every year. So far this year, we are 5 for 10. We're battin' .500, right? Tell that to my 13 year old who just wants to get out there and play some ball. I guess those are the perks when living in the great state of Washington. Baseball season is extended...at this point...until the end of July. With today's games, are we looking at baseball one weekend and starting football season the next? Who knows?!? It's happened before.

Ever the ball player, where is my kid? Outside, practicing his swing and his pitch....ready for that game, whenever it may show up. We're keeping our fingers crossed for the schedule to remain on schedule next week. Please keep us in your prayers and I don't think I can handle the sad look on my son's face if they tell him he can't play due to a muddy, wet field or a little bit of a sprinkle. Those sad puppy dog eyes are just too much for this mama to take.

The only issue I have (besides the fact that we didn't play baseball) with today's games is the fact that my son still managed to get his baseball pants dirty. Really?!? How does that happen? Those of you who know Trever...and have gotten a glance at his white baseball pants...know that this is the norm for him. But really....all he did was "warm up" before the "game" and he still managed to look like he'd slid into home on a close play. Ahh...that's my boy. Wouldn't have it any other way, I suppose.

In the mean time.....I hope the sun comes out soon. There is only so many indoor baseball practices one can take.
